Push this mixture firmly into the holes of the apples, pressing down well to ensure each is well packed with its stuffing, finishing with a neat mound on the top. 5. Pour about 1/2 an inch of water into the bottom of the casserole dish. 6. Bake at 180ºC/350ºF on the middle shelf of the oven for approximately 40 - 45 minutes, until the apple is soft and golden brown. 7.
