Tomato Sauce Recipe

from best quality ingredients.
Ingredients to make 1 Quart Approx.
1 Kilo/2.2lbs. of fresh Mediterranean tomatoes
chopped, or 2 Sixteen ounce
cans of whole plum
tomatoes in juice
1 Large onion -
chopped
6 Cloves of
garlic - chopped
1 Lemon
- juice of
1 pint of good vegetable stock or 1 vegetable
stock cube
A bunch of fresh basil leaves or 1 tablespoongood quality
dried basil
2 Tablespoonsfresh parsley
1 box of Spanish Tomate Frito or 3 Tablespoonsdouble
concentrate tomato pure
3 Tablespoonsextra virgin
olive oil
3Bay
leaves
Salt and freshly
ground black pepper to taste
Method
OK
- First Fry off your onion in
the olive oil on a medium heat until soft.
Then - reduce the heat and add the garlic.
Cook for a further five minutes stirring.
Add the chopped tomatoes to the mix - or:
Open the Cans of Tomatoes and pour the juice
into your mixture.
Roughly chop the tomatoes in the can with a
sharp knife.
Now add them to the mixture.
Add the Rest of the ingredients and cook on a
medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
