Tiramisu
Recipe Individual Portions
Mediterranean
Dessert - Quick and Easy Italian Sweet
Here's a really simple way to
make a tiramisu recipe, the famous and
absolutely delicious Italian dessert.
You can put all the
ingredients together in one big bowl, but when you make a large 6
portion tiramisu…..it gets spoilt during the serving, and looks a bit
of a mess when spooned on to a dessert plate.
This recipe has been
adapted to make individual ones…..it looks so pretty made up in small
glass serving dishes in its different layers, so much easier for the
host to serve as well.

Separate the eggs in a bowl. Using an electric
hand mixer
beat the yolks and
sugar, until thick and creamy. Wash and dry your beaters, and whisk the
whites
separately until stiff and standing in peaks.
Add the Mascarpone to the yolk mixture, gently
folding in a
spoonful at a time, until it is smooth.
Carefully fold in the egg whites.
Mix the coffee with the Brandy or Rum, in a
shallow bowl.
Dip half the sponge fingers in the liquid,
soaking both sides, and use them to line each individual dessert glass.
Divide half the Mascarpone mixture between each
glass and smooth over.
Dip the remaining fingers in the liquid and
arrange on top of the Marscapone mix in each glass.
Divide the remaining half of Mascarpone between
each glass and smooth the surface.
Chill for about 2 hours.
Sprinkle each one generously with cocoa powder
(using a small sieve), or grated chocolate, before serving.
