Sorbet Recipe
This Orange Sorbet Recipe is
bursting with zesty Mediterranean
flavours.
It's perfect for those Hot Summer Days when you want
something that is light and refreshing and yummy, but don't want to
make too much effort.
In fact it is a really good idea to make it when
you have a little spare time, and keep it in the freezer.....and then
just bring it out when you feel like it!

Ingredients for 6 people
- 200g Caster
Sugar
- 250ml Freshly
Squeezed Orange Juice
- 375ml Water
- Zest of 3
Oranges
- 1 Lemon -
Juice of

Method
-
In
a saucepan mix together
the sugar, water, and
orange zest.
- Stir over a moderate heat until the sugar has
dissolved.
- Turn up the heat to full, and bring to the boil.
- Let the liquid boil for 6 - 8 minutes and a
syrup has
formed.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Add the fruit juices, and pour this mixture
into an ice cream maker and churn until ready >>>>
- If you prefer you can pour the mixture
into a plastic container and put it into the
freezer.
- After an hour take it out
and
give the
mixture a good stir. Repeat this every hour, it will get slushier after
every stir.
- When it is the right consistency (It will
scoop)
serve straight
away, or put into a lidded container and store in the freezer until
required.
- You
may have to bring it out about ten minutes
before
serving as this will make it easier to scoop.
