I first tasted this wonderful Sticky Butterscotch
Sauce Recipe at a
Chiringuito right on the Mediterranean near Almeria. The owner told me
how to make it , and you will not believe how quick and easy it is.
Ingredients
225g Brown Sugar
140ml Double / Heavy Cream
75g Butter
1 Tablesp Golden Syrup
Method
1./ Put the Cream,
Sugar and Butter into a small pan.
2./ Stir over a
medium heat until the sugar has completely melted.
3./ Add the Golden
Syrup and bring to the boil for a minute.
4./ Serve hot or
cold.
This sauce keeps well in the fridge in a lidded container, and can be a
great quick and easy dessert served poured over our meringue recipe
or vanilla
ice cream recipe....or a combination of both.
